Biography

Welshman Nigel Davies is a welder and comes from Llanelli. Since winning the 1993 Senior Manx Grand Prix, Nigel has gone onto considerable success in the TT Races. In 1994 he was 4th in the Senior and 6th in the Formula 1 Race, the following year he scored a 6th in the Singles and a 7th in the Junior Race. 1996 brought further success with a 5th place in the Formula 1, a 6th in the Junior, a 9th in the Senior and his first TT podium finish with a 3rd in the Junior. His 1997 challenge ended with a practice spill, but Nigel was back in 1998, this time taking a magnificent 2nd in the Production, a 6th in the Senior and 14th in the Lightweight. By now a seasoned TT racer, 1999 brought further acclaim and a 4th place in the Junior, a 7th in the Formula 1 and Proddie Races, and a 9th in the Junior. 2000 gave Nigel another 7th place in the F1 Race, an 8th in the Senior and a 12th in the Production Race. Nigel - who has lapped the course at 121.78mph - says his ambitions are to win a TT race and take as much money as possible off fellow competitor Iain Duffus on the golf course!
