Biography
Born 1933 at Sulby Bridge, Sulby, Isle of Man, A Manxman.
Married Kathleen (Cain), three children, Angela, Paul, and Geoffrey.
Started riding motorcycles at 15-Moto-cross (scrambles) Trials, short circuit (Jurby), also competed in two Scottish six day and three International six day Trials (Bavaria-retired)(East Germany-gold) and (Isle of Man-Bronze)
Commenced Road Racing 1961(after being a Travelling Marshall for 5years).Rode 350 & 500 Norton's for Geoff. Duke (three replicas), won 1965 re-introduced Lightweight (250) on a Greeves at record average speed of 88.37MPH.
Rode Royal Enfield 'Special' for Geoff. Duke in T.T. 1966 (retired).
Family emigrated to Western Australia in 1967, and Dennis continued to compete in all classes of Motorcycle competitions, winning State Champion in Motocross and Short Circuit Trials, and Inaugural Enduro Events
Dennis worked for both Yamaha (outback) and Suzuki, before he and Kathleen started their own Business-Importing Danish Engineering Machinery.
Today, both are retired living in Mandurah-south of Perth, enjoying camping, fishing, gardening, and the sunshine!!
