Biography

In 1998 Derek Chand won a replica for 16th place in the Manx Grand Prix Senior Newcomers Race and in 1999 won the New Era Superstock Championship. Derek is from Warwick and is a self-employed design engineer, married to Joy with a daughter Alex and a son Callum. In 2000 he finished fifth overall in the National Suzuki Bandit Championship. Derek has lapped the course at 100mph and his ambition is to be the first rider in the TT to race a Honda VFR800.
