Biography
Brian made his road-racing debut at the Temple 100 over the famous Saintfield circuit in July 1992, a month before he finished 13th in the Newcomers Manx Grand Prix.
He was a regular competitor in the 400cc support class, with many podium finished in the Ulster road races from 1992 until 2003 when he won the MCUI Ulster Centre Junior Support Championship, by taking victory at the Tandragee 100 and Dundrod 150, setting the fastest lap at these events and also at the Mid Antrim 150, where he finished 3rd. Since leaving the support class he has had several top ten finishes in open class 250, his best being a 6th at the 2006 Tandragee 100.
At the Manx Grand Prix he has competed in the Lightweight class since 1992, riding the same machine from 1994 to 2006 he achieved his fastest lap and race average speeds to date over the Snaefell Mountain Course in the 1999 Lightweight race at 109.80mph and 108.38mph respectively on his way to 7th place. The following year he achieved his best Junior ride by finished 25th at 108.07mph race average with a fastest lap of 109.70mph.
After taking a year out in 2004, he returned to the Manx in 2005 to finish 4th in the Lightweight race, a result he repeated in 2006.
