Biography

Putt Mossman, an American, was a stunt rider who became known in the U.K. for his role riding a motorcycle in the 1937 movie "No Limit" starring George Formby. This movie is still screened often during TT week.

He did his stunt riding on a 1927 AJS "Big Port" machine, a very quick bike for that period.

He also attempted to jump the River Thames riding an Indian, but landed short in the water!
