Biography
I was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1941. Educated at Reed's School in Cobham, Surrey, leaving in 1958 with 7 GCE "O" Level. Worked with C.A.Parsons & Co. Ltd. at the Heaton Works in Newcastle from September 1958 until December 1976. I took up road racing in 1966, and enjoyed club racing that year. I got my national license for 1967, and had many races in Scotland as well as most of the English tracks. Got my International license in 1968 and had 2 years as a "shoestring" rider before getting married in 1969.
An immediate family resulted in my quitting the race
circuit at the end of 1969. In January 1977 I emigrated with my family to Canada where I still live. I am currently Chief Building Official for the City of Kenora, Ontario, on Lake of the Woods. I now enjoy fishing and I am currently restoring a 1976 Honda Goldwing GL1000 to as near stock as I can afford. I guess you never loose the urge to ride!
