Biography
Nigel Bish is a self-employed mechanic from Aukland in New Zealand. He is the 1996 and 1997 New Zealand 400 Supersport National Champion and he finished fifth in the 1998 600 Production Championship. He first rode in the TT in 2000 and From New Zealand, Nigelwon the Newcomers award for 17th in the Ultra-Ligthweight and took 12th place in the Lightweight 400 gaining two bronze replicas. He has lapped the course at 100.60mph and his ambition is a top ten finish in the Ultra-Lightweight Race.
He has been roadracing on and off for 9 years.
In this time he has graduated from 250 production bikes through a whole
range of machinery including 125GP, 250GP, 400 supersport, 600 production. 900
sports production, superbikes and even 1150cc hybrid monsters!
I won the 400cc National roadracing Championships in NZ for the 96/97 season
then raced for Honda NZ in the 600 and Open sports production championships
in 98/99 respectively. I then went to Australia where I competed in various
meetings to keep my hand in while I readied myself for the TT.
I hope to continue my learning curve and gain more circuit
knowledge and IOM expertise on the way to scoring my first TT win!
