Biography

Enniskillen mechanic Richard Britton is married to Maria and is the 2000 Irish Regal 600 Champion and 2000 North West 200 Production Race winner. In the 2000 TT Races he finished 4th in the Produciton, 10th in the Junior, 12th in the Senior and 16th in the Lightweight, winning two silver replicas and one bronze. Richard''s fastest speed around the course is at 118.42mph.

One of the most popular riders in the paddock, Britton finally gets the chance he fully deserves with a factory ride for Honda. Undoubtedly the best, and most consistent, privateer in recent years, he is long overdue a TT win and he aims to grab the opportunity with both hands. He will need to increase his best ever lap by almost 4mph in the Superbike races in order to win but expect to see the Enniskillen man on the podium, at least, in the Junior and Superstock events.
