Biography
In 1980 Steve was a 23-year-old single man. A fitter from near Wigan, Lancashire.
He had enjoyed considerable success at Snetterton, Cadwell, Carnaby and Mallory Park short circuits.
He was a member of the Preston & DMC, Waterloo & DMC, and Auto 66 clubs.
Steve enjoyed sponsorship from Eddie Porter (Race Machine Preparation), P & M Roberts, D.I.Y., Hughes & Porter – Builders and The Rossall Court Hair Transplant Clinic of Fleetwood.
He now resides in the Isle of Man, with his 12-year-old daughter Natalie, and is in charge of Padgett’s Motorcycles in Douglas.
