Biography
Chris began racing at the Mablethorpe Sand Races in 1987 and competed for
the next 5 years there each season even lining up on the start line with the
great Carl Fogarty in the 125 motocross class and beating him a couple of
times when Carl fell off.
It was in 1988 that Chris built an MZ and went road racing, gaining his
national licence in 1990 after he had entered to ride in the Manx of that
year.
Chris bought and prepared a bog standard TZR250 for 3 events - with the hope of coming at least in the top ten in the newcomers.
He fulfilled his childhood ambition that year. Although his other results were nothing to speak of, it was the experience he was looking for.
Taking part in club races, beach racing and moped mayhem endurance racing
for a few more years, Chris gave up his job as a graphic designer to become
an artist - money became tight, racing stopped, but he has lived the unconventional life to this day.
