Isle of Man mobile and broadband operator Sure is confirmed as an official partner of the 2016 Classic TT Races.

The company will become the official telecommunications partner for the event and will also be the title sponsor of the Lightweight Classic TT Race, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 26th August.

As part of their sponsorship, Sure will receive high profile branding around the TT Mountain Course and will also operate its phone retail service from the grandstand retail unit, providing visitors with low cost alternatives to mobile roaming as well as being on hand to advise residents of their mobile and broadband phone options.  The company will feature prominently on the event website, all marketing collateral and in the official event programme.

Sure has been the official telecommunications partner of the TT races since 2007, when they established a service on the Isle of Man. It also provides support for local TT rider Dan Kneen, who is racing in this year’s Classic TT meeting in both the Superbike and Sure Lightweight Classic TT races.

Sure’s Marketing Manager Sarah Jarvis commented:

“The Classic TT is clearly going from strength to strength and we are delighted to extend our association with motorcycling to include the event.  As a local operator that is focused on providing the Isle of Man’s residents with competitive telecommunications services, the event will give us another platform to promote and communicate the benefits of signing up with Sure as well as being able to advise visitors of the financial savings that can be made by routing calls over our network.”

David Cretney, the Isle of Man Government’s representative for Tourism and Motorsport commented:

“We are very grateful to Sure for their support for the Classic TT Races. Their financial contribution will be invested back into the running of the event as we look to grow and develop it to maximise its contribution to the visitor economy.”

He continued:

“Sure’s support is an endorsement of the growing popularity and interest in the event which is important as we look to secure its long-term future on the island’s sporting calendar.”
