Michael Dunlop 11th at Daytona

Michael Dunlop took an 11th place finish on his first visit to the Daytona 200 event in Florida, last week.

The third most successful rider in TT history qualified 21st on an unfamiliar Kawasaki ZX6 636.

Finishing 55 seconds behind winner Brandon Paasch, Dunlop's pace picked up in the second half of the race to record a best lap of 1 minute, 51.5 seconds. Paasch posted the fastest lap of the race at 1:49.752.

Dunlop's last race was also on the short circuits at 'King of Kirkistown' held in September, 2020.

He's not the first TT star to make the transatlantic trip to race in Florida. Steve Hislop and Carl Fogarty were there in 1991 when this footage was filmed:
