Bushy's Bar in full swing at TT 2018

After the roaring success of the 2018 move to the Villa Marina Gardens, Bushy’s TT Village is promising an even bigger presence for 2019

After serving somewhere in the region of a quarter-of-a-million pints at TT 2018, Bushy’s is joining up with local event management and marketing agency Revel to expand the visitor experience even further.

The move to the Villa Marina Gardens, at the heart of Douglas Promenade, saw the end of a long association with Victoria Street, which was the original base of Bushy’s Pub and drew massive crowds in the 1980s through to 1998.

Thousands of TT fans from around the world then enjoyed the hospitality of the famous Bushy’s Beer Tent which was located next to the Sea Terminal for nearly twenty years until last year’s massively successful change of location.

The 2018 experiment saw a range of gourmet food outlets, stalls offering locally distilled craft spirits and stages for live music, all hosted in the picturesque setting of the Art Deco Villa Marina.

Following the resounding success of this year's event, Bushy’s will expand its TT offering from 2019 with the introduction of a number of opportunities for sponsors and partners to become part of this exciting event and festival venue.

Owner of Bushy’s, Martin Brunnschweiler said: “We experienced a tremendous success with the launch of Bushy’s TT Village. Support from the TT community and Island’s residents was exceptional and we were delighted with the outcome. We’d now like to invite organisations involved in the TT or invested in the Island to become involved."

Bushy’s Village Head of Operations, Harry Barbour added: “The festival site literally buzzed for the full fortnight. Feedback from customers was extremely positive and we’re confident about expanding our offering to include sponsors and VIPs”.

As part of this offering, Revel are looking for partners to help fully exploit the site and add even more value for visitors, especially around the Villa Marina’s Upper Colonnade Terrace, overlooking all the action of the festival on one side and glorious views across Douglas Bay on the other. Sponsors and partners will be able to take advantage of the superb setting and facilities, as well as special programmed TT features including headlining live acts, the legendary Red Arrows and Grand Finale Fireworks.

Revel Co-Founder and Director Sam Jones closed by saying: “Bushy’s is an iconic Isle of Man brand. It’s synonymous with the TT and the arrival of the festival Village in 2018 represents a huge development for the Island as TT fortnight goes from strength to strength. We’re thrilled to be involved in creating a platform for sponsoring organisations and brands to become a part of the Bushy’s TT VIP experience."
