Silicone Engineering Kawasaki mounted Dean Harrison shattered the record books in the delayed RST Superbike TT Race on Saturday.

From a standing start the Bradford rider lapped in a seemingly incredible 16:50.384, to give an average lap speed of 134.432mph, the first 134+mph lap in TT history and a new absolute lap record.

In response second placed rider Michael Dunlop, the previous lap record holder, lapped at 17:01.700 - 132.943mph.

The second circulation saw Harrison maintain the pace, despite slowing for pitstops and, with an advantage over Dunlop amounting to over sixteen seconds, Harrison's team were in a comfortable position to ensure that they got everything right without undue time pressure.
