19-time TT winner Michael Dunlop will ride a Ducati V4 R Panigale for Paul Bird Motorsport at this year's event.

As has become traditional, Dunlop's plans for the year remained a mystery long after most of the top riders had confirmed their teams.

Speculation had linked Dunlop to Stuart Hicken's Hawk Racing Team, a previously successful pairing that saw Michael take two wins at TT 2016.

However in typical Dunlop fashion, a short social media post announced the link-up with reigning British Superbike champion PBM for 2020.

Earlier in the year Michael posted on his official facebook page that although a deal had not been done for a Superbike Ride, "I will be doing my own thing for the Supersport and Superstock classes under the MD Racing banner as usual as that has proved to be a good way of doing things."

So far, there has been no confirmation of what machinery he will compete on in the Supersport and Superstock classes, or whether he will contest the Lightweight TT Race again.

Earlier this year, 23-time TT winner John McGuinness confirmed to Autosport that he had held talks with PBM about returning to the squad - with whom he raced in 2003 and managed podium success - before ultimately signing with Bournemouth Kawasaki.

The decision seems to confirm that Dunlop's former TAS BMW team do not plan to compete on the roads in 2020, although there has been no official word from the Moneymore outfit.
