Wednesday qualifying session cancelled
Weather once more has played a part in TT 2019 as Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson has been forced to cancel Wednesday's qualifying session.
It follows the cancellation of the opening session on Saturday and Monday night's practices due to inclement conditions.
As rain and mist shrouded the mountain from view in Douglas it had been widely expected the night's action would be curtailed.
Confirming the news, Gary Thompson also put the island on notice that the Thursday afternoon contingency road closures were likely deployed, weather permitting.
The Thursday roads closure - if used - will see the Mountain section of the course closed from 11.15am (from the Ramsey end) and the rest of the course shut from 12.30pm. The session would end in time for the roads to reopen no later than 4.30pm. There would still be an evening practice at the published time - again weather permitting.
