Isle of Man Police have issued the following statement about Evolution Camping, which previously operated a glamping site at the Isle of Man TT:

"Police have been alerted to a number of accommodation bookings which have been made through a company called Evolution Camping.

The company, who have been taking accommodation bookings for camping during TT 2019 fortnight, were advertising the use of a camping area that is not available to them.

Police are requesting for anyone who has made a booking through this company for accommodation during TT 2019 or beyond that hasn’t already been contacted, to get in touch with CID at Police Headquarters."

Peter Duke, CEO of the Duke Group of Companies which includes Duke Travel, said:

"We've been aware of this issue for a little while and, although we are now helping to sell accommodation at the site formerly used by Evolution Camping, we're not in any way associated with the company. Where possible we have assisted TT fans who lost their bookings to find alternative accommodation. If there is anyone out there still looking we will be happy to help them too."
