Practice at the 2008 TT set to resume
After two days of dismal weather, the sun is shining down on the Isle of Man and everything is set for Thursday evening’s practice session at the 2008 TT.
The Mountain section of the world-famous circuit closed at 5pm, with roads around the rest of the course due to close at 6pm.
The solo machines are due out first, with the first machine expected at about 6.20pm, and the sidecar outfits are due to take to the course later.
Wednesday’s practice session was cancelled because of appalling weather and Tuesday evening’s was also affected by the conditions. Just six solo machines took to the TT course for a single lap before the sidecars crews took their turn.
There’s great excitement ahead of Thursday’s practice session and the session schedule for Friday as some of the greatest motorcycle racers around put the finishing touches to their preparations ahead of the first races – the Dainese TT Superbike and Sure Mobile Sidecar 1 races on Saturday.
