Glenn Irwin: The New King of the North West 200
Glenn Irwin has cemented his place in road racing folklore by becoming the most successful Superbike rider in North West 200 history. By winning all three Superbike races this weekend aboard the Nitrous Competitions Ducati, Irwin reached 12 consecutive wins in the class, surpassing the record of nine held by Joey Dunlop and Michael Rutter. His final victory in the feature race came after a pulsating duel with Dean Harrison, where Irwin recorded the quickest lap of the meeting at 124.997mph.
Glenn Irwin: "To take a hat-trick and become the most successful Superbike rider in the history of the North West 200 feels really, really special. It means so much to me to win here as it’s my favourite event in the world. Although it feels wrong to take a record from Joey Dunlop, I’m incredibly proud to do it"
Davey Todd Ruled Unfit for 2026 North West 200
In a major blow to the event and the fans, reigning Senior TT winner Davey Todd was ruled out of the 2026 North West 200 on medical grounds. Despite Todd’s intensive rehab following his Daytona crash, the Chief Medical Officer found him unfit to compete safely on the high-speed Triangle circuit due to the nature of his leg injuries. The focus for the SWAN Racing/PHR Performance rider now shifts entirely to a final fitness test ahead of the TT in late May.
Storm Stacey: The Newcomer Who Stole the Show
In one of the most remarkable debuts in the event's history, BSB star Storm Stacey claimed two victories in a single day. Stacey shocked the paddock by winning the Superstock race, before following it up with a win in the Feature Superbike race, which was declared early due to an oil spill. As a newcomer, Stacey’s immediate mastery of the 8.9-mile circuit—clocking a 124.498mph lap—marks him as the fastest NW200 debutant in history.
