DOUGLAS, ISLE OF MAN – With the 2026 road racing season fast approaching, the final pieces of the competitive puzzle are falling into place. This week has seen a flurry of activity as legendary teams and riders confirm their machinery and partnerships for the North West 200 and the Isle of Man TT.
Milenco by Padgett’s Announce "Roads Royalty" Lineup
One of the most iconic names in road racing, Milenco by Padgett’s, has confirmed a powerhouse squad for 2026. Jamie Coward and Mitch Rees will spearhead the Batley-based team’s assault on the Mountain Course and the Triangle.
Coward, a perennial podium threat, joins the team following several seasons of consistently pushing the factory frontrunners. He will be joined by New Zealander Mitch Rees, who made a massive impact as the quickest newcomer in recent years.
Team Statement: "To have Jamie and Mitch on board is fantastic. We’ve always pride ourselves on being a family team that can take it to the giants, and with this lineup, we’re aiming for the top step."
Davey Todd Verifies Triumph Supersport Switch
Reigning Senior TT winner Davey Todd has officially confirmed his plans for the middleweight class, announcing a move to PHR Performance Triumph machinery. Todd will pilot the Street Triple 765 RS in the Supersport races, strengthening his ties with teammate and friend Peter Hickman.
Todd is also set to broaden his horizons by making his debut at the Daytona 200 later this month as part of the new Triumph partnership.
Davey Todd: "I’ve already had a few laps on the Street Triple 765 and my initial feeling is that it is a really good Supersport package. It’s different to what I have ridden in the past, but in a good way, and I’m already feeling comfortable. I know we can go there [Daytona] and to the TT, be super competitive and do a good job for Triumph."
Dominic Herbertson Secures KTS Racing Big Bike Ride
Fan-favourite Dominic Herbertson will lead the charge for KTS Racing in the Superbike, Superstock, and Senior categories at TT 2026. Herbertson, a member of the exclusive "131mph Club," will campaign BMW M1000RR machinery in the 1000cc classes while maintaining his factory-backed Triumph support for the Supersport races.
Dominic Herbertson (via Social Media): "Buzzing to be back with the KTS lads on the big bikes. The BMW is a proven winner on the roads and I feel like we’ve got all the ingredients to really stir things up this year. Let’s get to work!"
Jamie Cringle Joins Newly Formed Cosmic Racing
Local Manx star Jamie Cringle has been announced as the solo rider for the inaugural Cosmic Racing team. Founded by seasoned road racer Derek Sheils, the team will provide Cringle with a BMW M1000RR for the 1000cc classes. Cringle, a Douglas native, has shown steady progression over the last four years and represents the next generation of Manx talent on the world stage.
