Motorsport commentary legend Murray Walker will be Guest of Honour at a black tie dinner organised by the Department of Economic Development to commemorate the centenary of racing on the iconic Mountain Course.
Murray commentated on the TT for the BBC with his father, TT winner Graham, and has described the TT is ‘the greatest motorsport event in the World’. It has already been announced he will commentate on the Milestones of the Mountain Parade Lap, which will see legendary riders and iconic machines lap the Mountain to celebrate 100 years of racing.
The dinner, which will be held on the evening of Senior Race Day (Friday, June 10), will take place in the official TT VIP Hospitality facility, situated near the TT Grandstand and close to the start /finish line on Glencrutchery Road.
The event will be attended by 180 guests, with each table being hosted by a TT legend John McGuinness, Giacomo Agostini, Phil Read and Ian Hutchinson. Guests will have the chance to hear the personal thoughts and insights of some of the event’s greatest ever riders.
The tickets will provide guests with an a la carte menu, wine and beer and an exclusive TT-themed gift. Entertainment will include a chat show-style event with some of the celebrity guests, a comedian and an exclusive charity auction in aid of the TTRA hosted by auction house Bonham’s, a sponsor of the Manx Grand Prix Festival.
Tickets, priced at £180 plus VAT, are available from travel and ticketing partner Regency Travel or official web site iomtt.com from Friday, April 15 at 9am.
