Tyco Suzuki star Conor Cummins has appeared in a new online film highlighting the spectacular new grandstand ‘Fanzones’ that will be in place for the 2012 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy.

In the film, which can be viewed in our Video Library, Cummins talks about the five locations – Crosby, Rhencullen, Ballacrye, Ginger Hall and the Creg-ny-Baa – and describes what spectators will be able to see from the elevated positions at each.

He points out that at Crosby riders are ‘flat out on the tank’ and describes it as ‘a great place to watch’, Rhencullen is ‘tricky to get right’, while Ballacrye, where the Manxman watched as a child, is a ‘fast 170mph approach with an awesome corner’.

Cummins also highlights the ‘fast sweeping left’ spectators will see at Ginger Hall and finishes at the final grandstand, the ‘world famous’ Creg-ny-Baa, extolling the virtues of the food and drink and the welcome fans can expect.

The main TT Grandstand in Glencrutchery Road, Douglas, has already completely sold out for race week, while the new grandstands have sold up to 75% of their capacity on some days and several are expected to have sold out by the start of race week.

Commenting on the new grandstands Cummins said:

“Apart from the view behind the handlebars which can’t be beaten, these grandstands are the next best thing.”

“The elevated positions will give fans unrivalled views of the riders at critical points in the race and the spectacular locations are all really fast points and put fans close to the action.”

As well as a temporary grandstand, each with around 200 seats, the five locations will also feature catering and toilet facilities, free parking and enhanced PA systems relaying live race commentary.

Tickets for the TT Fanzones, including guaranteed grandstand seat, are available for each of the four race days – June 2, June 4, June 6 and June 8 – with prices starting from £20. They will also be open for final practice with a £5 charge.
