John McGuinness took a dramatic win in the Dainese Superbike race at the 2012 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy.

He was followed home by Wilson Craig Honda-mounted Cameron Donald, who had been pushing McGuinness hard, and Padgetts Honda's Bruce Anstey, who overcame Guy Martin, on the Tyco Suzuki, in the closing stages of the six-lap race.

It takes the win total for McGuinness to an astounding 18.

His Honda TT Legends teammate Simon Andrews crashed on the first lap. A team statement said:

"Simon Andrews crashed at Graham's during lap one of today’s Superbike race. He was conscious and taken to hospital with suspected multiple broken bones. He is currently undergoing x-rays to determine the extent of his injuries, none of which are life threatening."

A full race report will follow.
