Bruce Anstey snatched a stunning and dramatic victory in the first Monster Energy Supersport race to secure his 9th TT win.

The Kiwi battled his way up through the order to take the win by just 0.77 of a second, believed to be the second closest finish in TT history.

Second was Cameron Donald, with pre-race favourite and Wilson Craig Honda teammate William Dunlop in third.

Early leader Michael Dunlop retired on lap three, while Gary Johnson, who had taken over the lead, faded on lap four. John McGuinness, James Hillier and Ian Lougher rounded out the top six in the four-lap race, watched by Formula One hero Sir Jackie Stewart, who later described the race as one of the greatest things he had ever witnessed.
