Increase in air passengers for 2012 TT and 2013 flights on sale

An 11% increase in passenger numbers for the 2012 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy has been reported by Manx2.com.
During the first ten days of June, Manx2.com carried 3,945 passengers, a rise of 11% on the same period in 2011, when 3,544 passengers travelled.
More than 300 flights operated in this 10-day period with an average load factor above 60%, and June 1 was a standout day for the company with 49 flights to and from the Island.
Manx2.com reported no flights were cancelled and 94% of flights arrived early or on time.
Hopes of further growth in 2013 are high, with tickets for next year’s TT on sale now.
Manx2.com Managing Director David Buck said:
“We’re particularly delighted with the growth on our Belfast, Newcastle and Blackpool routes this TT as well as the strong first TT for our newest destination, London Oxford Airport.”

Flights for next year’s TT, which went on sale on Tuesday, start from £29.95 one-way and there’s no booking fee, credit or debit card charges with Manx2.com.
This year, Manx2.com added flights to its regular timetable between the Isle of Man and Belfast, Blackpool, Leeds, Newcastle and Gloucester. Six special TT return flights between Cardiff and the Island were repeated and there were five return flights from Anglesey. Manx2.com also adapted its timetables to cater for shorter stays and doubled the frequency on some routes to offer extra day returns on race days, which proved popular.
Passengers were welcomed to the Isle of Man by Manx2.com’s dedicated TT ‘Meet and Greet’ team, which handed out Sure-branded goody bags containing a free Sure mobile sim pack as well as general TT special offers and tourist information. Father and son John and Jonathan Randall, who arrived from Leeds Bradford International Airport on June 1 were winners of Manx2.com Gold tickets for the 2013 TT and a Sure phone.
