A host of Isle of Man TT stars were in action as the ACU/FSRA British F2 Sidecar Championship resumed last weekend.
The first race at the two-day Cadwell Park meeting was won by Gary Bryan and Jamie Winn, fourth in both Sure Sidecar races at the 2012 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy.
They were some 5.5 seconds clear of Dougie Wright and Martin Hull, with Carl Fenwick and Mark Sayers, winners of the TT Newcomers Award in 2011, 3rd.
Wright and Hull, who took a TT best of 5th in race two at the 2012 TT, took the victory in Cadwell’s second race after a thrilling battle with Fenwick and Bryan. It was their first British Championship win
In 4th place in both races were Dave Atkinson and Phil Knapton, who won their first TT replicas this year, and they were followed by Conrad Harrison and Lee Patterson, Harrison having scored his fourth TT podium in the first TT Sidecar race this year.
The championship is led by Ian Bell, winner of Race A at the 2003 TT, who with his passenger, son Carl, will be battling for honours at the upcoming Southern 100. Bell has 96 points, three ahead of Bryan, with Fenwick third on 76.
The Cadwell meeting was the third of seven championship rounds. The next is at Anglesey on July 28-29.
