After a history-making year at the 2012 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy, electric bike builder MotoCzysz is looking forward to an exciting 2013.

The E1pc, powered by the MotoCzysz D1g1tal Dr1ve. Took 1st and 3rd in the SES TT Zero race with Michael Rutter and Mark Miller and also managed a lap at an average speed of more than 100mph around the 37.7-mile TT Mountain course – the first time the landmark has been achieved by an electric bike.

It was one of many high points for the American firm in the past 12 months, which have also seen MotoCzysz awarded three substantial contracts, complete two new drive systems and build its fastest e1pc (electric grand prix racer) to date.

Founder and CEO Michael Czysz said:

“We are on an ideal trajectory for long term success, balancing growth with revenue. I am confident that our earned revenues for last year far outpaced our competitors.”

He explained MotoCzysz is banking on this measured growth to keep strong and healthy while the EV sector takes time to mature.

Mr Czysz added:

“In the end, revenue and sales matter. Through key partnerships and customers we are able to fund our innovation, products and growth.”

One of those products is the D9, a powerhouse (5,139 Nm /2,542 ft-lbs drive torque) integrated electric drive, designed for medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles. The D9 has already gone through extensive testing and the completion of the first order was delivered last month.

MotoCzysz has more projects in the pipeline and expects to innovate and continue to grow through the success of these products.

Mr Czysz concluded:

“We are just now starting to address products that are the real game changers, embedded with deep technology and innovation.”

“ Next year will be very exciting.”
