Isle of Man TT racer Brandon Cretu will make his Macau Grand Prix debut next month.
Cretu, who made his TT debut in 2010, will be racing for longtime TT sponsor HEL Performance, as well as bringing in first year TT sponsor RevZilla.com.
He will be riding a Honda CBR1000RR at Macau on November 18.
American Cretu said:
“I am so excited to finally get the amazing opportunity to race at the Macau GP.”
“I really enjoyed my time there last year even though I didn't get to ride. I see the same racers in Macau as I do at the TT so even though we are on the other side of the world I still feel at home with my racing ‘family’.”
He added:
“The entry list is stacked this year with plenty of Macau veterans and quite a few newcomers so I know I will have my work cut out for me. Luckily I am bringing along my crew chief from TT 2011 who took me to my first Bronze Replica as well as two other trusted crew members so I feel I will be as best prepared as possible.”
“Along with this I feel I have plenty of friends in the paddock that will be willing to give me a few pointers here and there to help me get up to speed quickly.”
Last year, Cretu travelled to the Macau GP to work for Splitlath/Redmond Aprilia and fellow American rider Mark Miller. This gave him a good chance to see the course up close and do some homework.
