Isle of Man TT star Conor Cummins has admitted he is disappointed with his run at the Macau Grand Prix, despite finishing sixth.
The Manxman was again riding for the Tyco Suzuki squad, finishing just 2 seconds down on fifth-placed Horst Saiger at the end of the 10-lap race, delayed by 24 hours and reduced from its original 15 laps.
He maintained a steady pace throughout, but was unable to challenge for the podium, which was filled by Michael Rutter, Martin Jessopp and Simon Andrews.
Cummins said:
“It was a tough week with stoppages and delays and obviously the loss of Luis Carreira in qualifying was a blow for everyone.”
“I rode my own race and the big Suzuki never missed a beat. I’m a little disappointed with the result, but happy enough with the finish and can now start preparing for next season.”
