James Hillier will make his Mountain course return at the 2013 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy.
He will be riding for Quattro Plant Kawasaki, the official Kawasaki UK British Superbike Team.
The Bournemouth man finished 2nd in the 2012 Lightweight TT, his first TT podium, and will be looking to move up the step one place higher this year.
He also took 5th place in the Joey Dunlop TT Solo Championship with solid top 10 finishes in all five races at the TT in 2012.
Hillier has a fastest lap of 127.828mph (17:42.59), which he set in last year's Dainese Superbike race, making him the 17th fastest TT rider of all time.
The team has also signed experienced road racer Steve Heneghan.
Heneghan, from Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire, first competed at the TT in 2009. He broke the 120mph barrier for the first time in last year's Royal London 360 Superstock Race, clocking 120.779mph (18:44.60).
Isle of Man Government TT and Motorsport Manager Paul Phillips:
“James has steadily improved every year on the Mountain course and I believe that he is now in the perfect position to be challenging for podiums and wins across all classes.”
“He represents the next generation of TT stars and I’m sure will be a fans favourite for many years to come.”
Quattro Plant Kawasaki team owner Pete Extance added:
“It is great to have James back on board again in 2013. He has a great relationship with his crew chief and the staff in the team and has become part of the Kawasaki family.”
“I firmly believe James will be challenging for top honours on the Isle of Man in 2013. We are also looking forward to working with Steve Heneghan for the first time and we will be looking to helping Steve improve his times at this year's TT.”
