Ivan Lintin has targeted the 2013 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy as his ‘main event’ this season after securing new sponsorship for the year.

He enjoyed a strong fortnight at the 2012 TT and believes with new backing from Lincoln-based developer Taylor Lindsey everything is in place for an even stronger showing on the Mountain course.

At the 2012 TT, Lintin took 7th, 10th and 14th in his three races, plus claiming three silver replicas, his first 120mph+ lap and 7th in the Privateer Championship.

As part of his new deal with Taylor Lindsey, Lintin will compete on a 600cc Kawasaki ZX-6R under the Taylor Lindsey Racing banner, with the main focus the TT. He will also contest the North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix, Southern 100 and the three major meetings at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough.

The 28-year-year old Bardney-based road racer said:

“I’m over the moon to have Taylor Lindsey on board as title sponsor of the team and everything’s in place for me to improve upon what I achieved in 2012.”

“The TT will be my main event and with the upgrade to the 600, I’m confident of increasing my lap speeds – the main aim will be to get inside the top 10 in all my races and come away from the Island with another haul of silver replicas.”

He added:

“I’ll also be looking at posting some strong results at all of the other road races, particularly at Scarborough and the Southern 100, which was another strong meeting for me last year. Having Taylor Lindsey on board can only be good for my career and I’ll be looking to repay the faith they’ve shown in me in the best possible way.”

Taylor Lindsey Director Robin Taylor said:

“Ivan is a well-known and up-and-coming rider and we are very pleased to be supporting him this year. We’re delighted to be sponsoring a locally based rider.”
