Classic 'Shell' fuel fillers from the Isle of Man TT

Fans of the Isle of Man TT can now get their hands on genuine classic fuel fillers from the event.

Visit the auction site now.

Last month the organisers launched an online auction of unique TT memorabilia, with all profits being reinvested in the event. The first item, the iconic directional board from Ballaugh Bridge sold for more than £1,000.

All directional boards and mile markers are being replaced ahead of the 2013 TT, meaning the old signs would have been kept in storage if not sold to fans.

The second sign, from Ramsey Hairpin, was about to be sold at the time of writing, with more than £500 already bid.

More signs will be added in coming weeks.

Also now on the auction site is a set of famous yellow ‘Shell’ fuel filler tanks, which were in use at the TT for some three decades until the 1980s. The set includes two tanks, a hose and the heavy metal case. It is expected future tanks will be sold individually.

That auction is due to end next Tuesday.
