Simon Andrews
TT organisers wish to pass on their condolences to the friends and family of Simon Andrews who passed away yesterday following his accident at Metropole in Saturday's Superstock Race at the North West 200.
Simon made his TT Races debut in 2011 and attracted many fans with his all action style and commitment around the Mountain Course and his indomitable spirit. He fought back from accidents and injuries that would have finished the careers of lesser men to continue to race.
Simon made an immediate impact on the Island in 2011, finishing 11th in both the Superstock and Senior TT and followed that with another 11th place in the 2013 Senior TT after a superhuman effort to overcome injuries and return to the races following his accident on the Mountain Course in 2012. He had a fastest lap of over 126mph.
He will be sorely missed.
