Michael Rutter 'Sure' of support at Isle of Man TT
Sure has been the official Mobile and Broadband Partner of the TT races on the Isle of Man since 2007, but took its relationship with The Blade up a couple of gears in 2013.
Sarah Jarvis, Marketing Manager for Sure, commented:
“We have often supported Michael with some telecoms products while he’s been on the island for the TT, providing a phone and a data dongle to help him keep in touch during the fortnight. In 2013, though, I also asked him to do a personal appearance and open our new Sure shop in the south of the island on the Saturday of practice week – Michael’s visit went down really well and, after declaring the shop open, he stayed to chat with racing fans. I spent time with Michael’s team on social media, too, which worked really well as the interest in the TT is so far reaching. It was a great partnership for Sure as a brand, and we hope helped promote Michael, too.”
Sarah added:
“Michael had our distinctive yellow Sure logos on a couple of his bikes and helmets, which I am convinced helped him to go faster! Working with him has made me a convert both to motorbikes and to Bathams beer – I hope he has brought some more with him this year, as it was delicious!”
As well as sponsoring Michael again for 2014, Sure is the official mobile and broadband partner of the TT Races. Visitors to the island should select the Sure network on their mobiles to take advantage of cost effective call plans or, alternatively, you can pick up a Sure SIM card from the retail stores in Douglas, Ramsey (in the north of the island), Port Erin (in the south) or from the Sure retail unit at the rear of the TT Grandstand. You can even buy a “phone in a box”, already loaded with £20 of credit, to use while you are on the island.
