Birchalls wrap up sidecar championship

With two convincing in the Sure Sidecar Races, Ben and Tom Birchall have sealed victory in the 2015 sidecar championship.
With full points for both races there was no catching the Mansfield pairing.
Although Dave Molyneux and Benjamin Binns broke the absolute sidecar lap record on their way to second place in Wednesday’s Sure Sidecar Race 2, their non-finish in Race 1 relegated them to fifth place overall in the rankings.
John Holden and Dan Sayle proved their consistency with podium finishes in both races to seal second overall and the Harrison/Aylott pairing (lat year’s Champions) took third.
Father and son team Ian and Carl Bell earned 24 points for fourth place.
